The Arkadelphia Badgers are looking to follow up a big 40-8 win over Fountain Lake with a win tonight against Haskell Harmony Grove.

The Badgers dominated Fountain Lake last week, scoring on five of their first seven plays from scrimmage, jumping out to a 40-0 lead at halftime. Junior Braeden Thomas performed very well at quarterback, filling in for the injured four-year starter Cannon Turner. Thomas completed four of five passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. Senior running back Kyren Harrison scored on all three of his rushes and picked up 99 yards. Sophomore running back Braylon Bailey played well late in the game with 79 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Arkadelphia's opponent this week are the Haskell Harmony Grove Cardinals. The Cardinals are 3-3 this season but have lost their last two conference games. They opened the conference season with a 34-0 victory over Ashdown but lost to Malvern 29-24 two weeks ago and fell to Bauxite 28-7 last week.

Harmony Grove will attack Arkadelphia from a run-heavy formation tonight. The Cardinals run an option offense, and spread the ball amongst quite a few carriers. Four players have rushed for over 200 yards for the Cardinals this season, while two more have over 100 rushing yards. Arkadelphia has defeated two option offense this season, topping Wynne 51-31 in week two and Fountain Lake last week. The Badgers should feel confident in their abilities to stop the offense again tonight.

The Badgers will kick off against Harmony Grove tonight at 7 p.m. The game will be played in Haskell, just forty minutes away from Arkadelphia on Interstate 30.
